Ek Villain Returns is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language romantic action thriller film directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and T-Series Films. It is a sequel to the 2014 film Ek Villain and stars John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria. The film was released on 29 July 2023.

**Story**

Eight years after the events of the first film, a new serial killer emerges in Mumbai, using the same smiley mask as the original killer. The killer targets women who have been dumped by their boyfriends, and the police are unable to catch him.

Meanwhile, Gautam Mehra (Arjun Kapoor), a rich and spoiled young man, falls in love with Aarvi Malhotra (Tara Sutaria), a rising singer. Gautam is obsessed with Aarvi, and he becomes jealous when she starts dating another man.

One day, Aarvi is kidnapped and killed by the serial killer. Gautam is devastated by her death, and he vows to avenge her. He teams up with a police officer, Aditya Rathore (Shaad Randhawa), to catch the killer.

As Gautam and Aditya investigate Aarvi's murder, they uncover a dark secret about her past. They also realize that the serial killer is closer to them than they thought.
